Dean van Rooyen, recently appointed General Manager at the new BON Hotel Swakopmund, boasts an impressive CV with a career spanning 25 years.
Fresh out of Sir Pierre van Ryneveld school in Kempton Park he achieved his National Diploma at Wits Hotel School and went on to work for Sun International as a Junior Assistant Food & Beverage Manager gaining experience in all departments. He has worked in and managed top hotels all over Africa, and owned and ran a boutique hotel before re-settling in Namibia.
Deans love of the industry and the people he works with is what inspires him -keeps him in the game. His vast knowledge of the Namibian market and years of experience in hospitality, covering all aspects of the industry from rooms, Food & Beverage and overall operations makes him an ideal candidate to oversee BON Hotel Swakopmund and help to expand BON Hotels’ footprint throughout Namibia.
