BON Hotels welcomes Africlassic Rivonia by BON Hotels to its fold

BON Hotels is proud to announce the addition of their brand new property, Africlassic Rivonia by BON Hotels, from 1 September 2020.

Africlassic is a family-owned and operated hotel run by the Van Sandwyk family, who established the business in 2004. They have developed and promoted two hospitality properties under the ‘Africlassic Brand’, one of which has now been brought into the BON Hotels fold. The Africlassic Rivonia by BON Hotels occupies a unique, secluded and private position on the Braamfontein Spruit in Sandton, Johannesburg.

“What truly makes this hotel special is that each of the rooms represents a different African country, each telling its own story with its authentic decor and design. The artefacts inside each room also reflect a deep love for the African continent and all its inhabitants, making it a fascinating destination,”  says Jan Van Sandwyk, owner of the Africlassic Rivonia by BON Hotels.

This luxury property also boasts magnificent experiences for its guests, including views of the river from the POIKIE restaurant patio, allowing for mesmerizing sunsets, making it the perfect place to have family dinners or romantic dates. The sound of the flowing river with its forest green backdrop and rich colours of bygone silver lanterns, sandstone columns, wood, brass, gold and khaki sets the scene for a truly unique spot.

“We are delighted to begin this journey with the Africlassic Rivonia property. This beautiful accommodation will give the tourism industry a much-needed boost. We are excited to see the benefits of this venture not only for BON Hotels but for the people of the area working to make it a success,” says Pieter Van Eck, Group Development Director of BON Hotels.

“We are going to see the Africlassic by BON Hotels brand expand throughout Africa and welcome discussions with hotel owners with unique African-themed hotels and lodges to make contact with us, says Guy Stehlik, CEO BON Hotels.

To ensure the safety and security of guests, during this unprecedented time, measures have been put in place to ensure all staff members, guests and visitors are protected at all times. The measures include clear screens at the reservation counters, ongoing deep sanitisation processes as well as training on hygiene procedures. Everyone at the hotel will also be required to wear face masks at all times.

With the addition of this property to its hotels under management, BON Hotels increases its presence in South Africa across a wide part of the country.
